Auditions are required for only our summer intensives, Vitacca Performing Companies, Accelerated Homeschool Division, and scholarship programs. All other training programs have open registration and may be joined at any time by assessment class. Contact us today to schedule yours!
Video Auditions
We accept video auditions for our Performance Companies, Accelerated Homeschool Program, and the Vitacca Ballet Summer Intensive. If you are interested in being considered for one of our audition-only programs, please submit a video audition or request a private assessment class.
DETAILS + REQUIREMENTS

Video auditions for School Programs, Intensives, and Vitacca Ballet Company + Apprentice must include:
Dancer introduction with full name and program for which they are auditioning
Four to five barre exercises (one side)
Center adagio including développé a la seconde on both right and left, and en dehors pirouette
Center pointe work including a pirouette, pique arabesque, and extension of choice
Center contemporary phrasing on flat

AUDITION ONLY PROGRAMS
Dancers wishing to join one of the listed programs must audition for review and acceptance. All other programs have open registration and may be joined at any time by assessment class.

The Accelerated Homeschool Division is for home-schooled dancers ages 11–19. The Accelerated Division offers three placement options (AC1, AC2, AC3) with a daily training, group/private coaching, and rehearsal schedule. Accelerated dancers benefit from a cohesive technique class and rehearsal schedule while achieving their academic goals. Find out more

Vitacca’s Pre-Professional Studio Company for ages 10–18 offers students the opportunity to build seasonal repertoire, rehearse with leading industry choreographers, and perform ensemble works throughout the season. The Studio Company prepares the dancer for the Vitacca Professional Program and/or offers a focused environment for study and artistic exploration. Find out more.

The Vitacca Resident Artist Program (RAP) is a performance company that connects students with leading industry professionals. Each year, RAP dancers work with our season Resident Artist for a holistic approach to training and artistic development in a personal and professional environment.

The Young Artist's Performance Company for ages 8–12 functions as a preparatory company and will cultivate aspiring dancers in an enriching environment through both technical training and performance opportunities. Dancers will be selected by audition and train in the Vitacca Vocational School for Dance Children's or School Programs.

The Vitacca Men’s Scholarship Program is a unique offering to the Houston dance community which offers a training experience with Vitacca’s leading male faculty. Classes include Men's Virtuosity, Pas de Deux (13+), and Coaching in addition to technique classes. Scholarship offers announced at time of acceptance.
