ABOUT
FUSION offers pre-professional and professional dancers a focused environment to further their growth in technique and artistry. This week-long, all-day intensive takes place from June 10–14, 2024 at Vitacca School for Dance, Houston.
Participating dancers study classical and contemporary styles through repertoire and technique classes led by an outstanding assembly of leading industry professionals. They work with Vitacca faculty as well as exciting guest artists, which this year includes Robyn Mineko-Williams, Jess Hendricks, Christian Denice, Tina Kay Bohnstedt, and Sean Aaron Carmon. This challenging, motivating curriculum is designed to support the skill, creativity, and versatility required of a professional contemporary ballet dance company such as Vitacca Ballet.

Vitacca Ballet Summer Intensive

ABOUT
The Vitacca Ballet Summer Intensive (VBSI) is for classically driven, pre-professional dancers ages 9–19. VBSI offers focused, consistent, personalized training with the Vitacca School for Dance, Houston artistic staff and world-renowned guest faculty.
Classes include: Ballet Technique, Pointe, Modern, Variations, Conditioning and more
Unique to Vitacca Ballet Summer Intensive:
Limited class sizes allowing personal attention from Intensive Faculty
Priority on technical growth and correction over final demonstration rehearsal
Weekly parent observation days
CLASSICAL VARIATIONS WEEK
Directly following the Vitacca Ballet Summer Intensive weeks is the Classical Variation Week. This additional week of study offers the dancer (age 13+) daily technique classes, variation setting, variation research and artistic coaching. Dancers study multiple variations throughout the week to grown both technically and artistically.
Accepted dancers are invited to attend the VSBI weeks and/or the Classical Variations Week.

AUDITIONS & REGISTRATION
Auditions are required for all Vitacca Ballet Summer Intensives. Dancers may attend an in-person audition for VBSI or 2024/25 Pre-Professional Programs, or they may submit a video audition. Please register to audition via the links below.

Summer Focus Weeks
ABOUT
Feel the power of focused training! Vitacca's Summer Focus Weeks are week-long sessions of intensive dance training with Vitacca faculty and guest artists. With classes in ballet technique, pointe/pre-pointe, variations, and contemporary, these sessions are designed to amplify technique, invigorate passion, and nurture community for dancers throughout the summer break.
These sessions are recommended for all Vitacca School dancers. Audition not required. Community dancers welcome, please contact us for division recommendations.
All dancers welcome. Dancers are placed with an assessment class or according to dancer’s division.

For returning students, summer placements are based on the dancer’s current division. For new students, please email houstonadmin@vitaccadance.com to schedule an assessment class.

Young Artist Intensive
ABOUT
Vitacca's Young Artists Intensive is the perfect introduction to a technically focused training experience for dancers ages 6–12. Best suited for young dancers that desire a structured and challenging learning environment.
Classes include: ballet, conditioning, jazz, and choreography. This intensive is strongly encouraged for all current and future Vitacca Young Artist Performance Company (YAPC) Members.

Vitacca students may wear current dress code items (or black leotard), pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a ballet bun.
Community dancers are to wear black leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, hair in a ballet bun.

Dancers should bring a water bottle and snack daily. Dancers may bring a yoga mat and jazz shoes (not required).

Children’s Dance Camps
ABOUT
Designed for ages 3–9, the Children’s Dance Camps at Vitacca Houston are an exciting week of dance filled with a fun approach to ballet technique, and include ballet classes, choreography, and crafts focused around a favorite, age appropriate classical ballet.
Through music and plenty of dancing, young movers will have a fun-filled week of exploration. The week will conclude with a short, in-studio demo/performance. Class divisions are offered to dancers by age. Space is limited, so advanced registration is encouraged. We will also be offering Children’s Dance Camps at our Woodlands location.
